Fit/Comfort: I love the sock liner and it eliminates the need for a trail gaiter. Radilight also uses what they call the Tendon wrapping system (TWS) technology to get an “as close to nothing” feel between your foot and the shoe. I didn’t have to stop and constantly fuss with my laces.
Look/Style: Raidlight nailed it on the turquoise color.
Features: The Revolutiv comes with the speedlace options and there are also regular laces in the box too. I really enjoyed the speedlace even though I’ve hated them in the past with Salomon.
Function/Performance: The soles are grippy in multiple environments. I took these on the slickrock of Escalante, a few slot canyons, and the approach to some hidden arches. They even seem to be somewhat water resistant while winding through the desert wash.
Durability/Construction: The seams are heat welded like a fine Arcteryx jacket. The upper is durable, with reduced spots to fail like my Altras did after just a few hundred miles. The eyelets are also massively reinforced since I seem to blow those out too. Because these are euro, I’m less familiar with the Sensor soles and the durability but they seem brand new after long miles on slickrock and wet trail runs.
These shoes are amazing! They are extremely comfortable and have amazing traction. I run on a lot of very technical terrain as well as dirt roads and this shoe feels great no matter what the conditions are. I competed in the North Face Endurance Challenge at Wachusett Mountain and never slipped or tweaked an ankle. A little on the heavy side for the more serious racers . In warmer weather the shoe molds nicely to the foot, no constrictions were felt. Overall I highly recommend this shoe!
