PURE ALPINE DNA
Our dual density Sensor 3 technology has three optimized zones of softer EVA compound. The higher cushion zones increase comfort and allow the entirety of your foot to make a better connection to the insole. This allows for improved power transfer and more comfort while raising performance.
The Tendon Wrapping System is a whole foot support structure that combined with our Speed Lace Lock secures your foot equally without compressing your metatarsal bones. By providing unlitaral support through the shoe you will have more confidence even on the roughest terrain.
Dynamic Sensor Sole with 6mm tread specifically designed for the different zones of the sole.
"The Revolutiv... is Raidlight’s alpine model. It (has) a narrow-ish fit, hugging your foot and making you feel snug and super secure. The steep drop and hardly-noticeable upper work together for a sleek and fast shoe, even in challenging trail conditions."
"The outsole of the Revolutiv really shines, as it is a very sticky rubber that adheres well to all surfaces, wet or dry, rock, slab, snow, mud, off trail scruff with a very deep and aggressive lug depth/configuration."

I have been running ultra distance races and extreme adventure races all over the world and I have tested and reviewed running shoes for some of the largest manufacturers. Recently I have been asked to review the men’s Revolutiv by Raid light. Over the course of several weeks I purposely ran in these shoes under harsh conditions including steep rock formations, wet and dry, thunderstorms, mud and other technical terrain. Simply stated, these are excellent technical running shoes and I am going to abandon the highly cushioned shoes that I’ve been wearing for many years and move to the Raidlight Revolutiv as my full time training and racing shoe.
I was able to demo these shoes at a trail running event on Park City…and I fell in love. Sizing wise I’d say they’re very similar to the Nike Pegasus (which has been my to-go running shoe for road running) and I had to size up by ½.
What I really loved about this shoe was the INCREDIBLE cushioning it has while still somehow keeping the ankles stable over rocky terrain. It amazes me how it is so cushy and yet it never bottoms out to ‘feel’ the sharp rocks. It’s also very lightweight, and the traction it’s superb. It was funny to see people sliding sideways on the snow at one Alta race (Cirque series) while I was cruising. I was happy to see that the traction remains good in loose terrain, snow and muddy areas (I had some shoes developing a mud sole).
Another thing that I loved it’s how fast they dry… As we were racing in muddy and snowy areas, I did step into a lot of puddles. The socks were soaking after the race, but 15 mins of the shoes at the sun, and a fresh pair of socks got me set for the after race party!
My only complain is about the quick lace system. While it provides a snug adjustment, it kind of bothered me a little while running downhill. The next day I tried the conventional laces it comes with, and the adjustment was way better for downhills.
All in all one of the best trail running shoes I have ever owned. In fact I’m going to buy a second pair to double them as backpacking shoes for long trails.
I've been competing in ultramarathons since 1996 and have become overly critical of trail running shoes over the years. Living in Colorado and having completed the Hardrock Hundred five times, the Tor des Géants, UTMB, Ultra Tour Monte Rosa, Ronda dels Cims and many other events, I spend countless hours training in the mountains. The Revolutiv have impressed me since slipping them on for the first time. They hold the feet very securely, provide solid grip & traction over technical, rocky terrain and fit like a glove. The Revolutiv are light, responsive and 'connect' the feet with the ground. The lacing system allows for the slightest micro-adjustment for a personalized fit. I highly recommend the Revolutiv.
